Tp-link AX3000 Archer TX55E wifi adapter no longer found after update
After updating to Ubuntu 6.5.0-28-generic, my wifi adapter stopped being recognized. It had worked perfectly for the past month since first installing.
I am using a tp-link AX3000 Archer TX55E.
I tried the following:
- Re-seating the wifi card in a different pcie slot.
- Disabling and enabling "network stack" in BIOS.
- Used
lsmod | grep iwlwifi to confirm that the iwlwifi module is loaded.
- and used
ip link to confirm that the wireless interface is not listed.
Note: USB tethering to a cellphone works fine.

I recently only installed Kubuntu myself, and ran into a similar problem with my Archer TX55E. The only real difference is that mine persisted working through the completion of my installation process, and still worked fine.
I currently have a dual boot system, and my internet had cut out and I got no internet connections to appear. I switched over to my Windows drive briefly, then switched back after about 10 minutes, and the WiFi was working again. Maybe try having a small dual boot Windows partition, or a separate boot drive all together, and boot into a Windows with the drivers for it installed there. Might be worth a shot, assuming that you haven't fixed the problem.
Not 100% sure this fixed the problem, but it's worth a shot.
